Third Annual Cincinnati Ukrainian Festival is to showcase Ukrainian uniqueness, its creative voices, and the power of unity in the Tri-State
Hosted by Ukrainian National Women’s League (UNWLA), Branch 144, Cincy4Ukraine, and Hope4Ukraine, festival to raise funds to equip Kherson's hospitals with medical equipment.
CINCINNATI - The Cincinnati Ukrainian Festival presents an opportunity for the Tri-State to learn more about Ukraine through performances of artists and dancers, crafts, children's activities, delicious Ukrainian food, and a beer garden.
The goal of this year's festival is to raise funds to restore life-saving medical equipment that was either destroyed or stolen from many hospitals in the Kherson region. Liberated by Ukrainian forces in November 2022, the efforts by the Ukrainian government and volunteer forces to restore the region endured a major setback after the entire area was flooded as a result of the destruction of the Kakhovka Power Plant on June 6, 2023 by the Russian military. Kherson remains one of the most shelled cities of Ukraine and is in dire need of basic medical life support.
What: The annual Ukrainian Festival of the Tri-State Area
When: August 5, 2023, 12 - 7 PM
Where: United Church of Christ, 691 Fleming Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231
The local Ukrainian community is sensitive to the fact that constant bad news and incessant requests to help millions of people impacted by the war may cause fatigue. The festival represents a chance to celebrate the vibrancy of Ukrainian culture in fun and engaging ways, while also making a difference in supporting a region in need. Last year’s festival defied all expectations, with over 4,500 Cincinnatians attending the event.”
